About the Initiative
The National Aboriginal Initiative of the Canadian Human Rights Commission (CHRC) was established to strengthen relations and increase dialogue about Human Rights Protection with Canada’s Aboriginal Peoples.
The goal of the National Aboriginal Initiative is to improve the awareness of the rights and recourse that Aboriginal Peoples have, as it pertains to the Canadian Human Rights Act.
The work developed by EarthLore featured original illustration and was supported by a variety of communication tools – print, social-media and web-based. The overall look and feel for the campaign was visually engaging, depicting many traditional metaphors closely linked to Aboriginal history and culture, including First Nations’ deep-rooted connection and respect for the land and with one other.
